About Epic Fantasy Novels – Fantasy & Escapism

I’ve always been a fan of fantasy stories. The first one I remember reading was a collection of short stories of Clark Ashton Smith called “The City of the Singing Flame.” I went on to read “The Lord of the Rings”, out of order by the way, and “The Hobbit.” Later I became a big fan of Dungeons and Dragons and read a lot of the source material that inspired their world; “Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser” by Fritz Leiber, “Elric of Melnibone” by Michael Moorcock and of course “Conan the Barbarian” by Robert E. Howard.

I’ve always been a fan of escapist fantasy. I’ll be using this web site to highlight the best of the old world and the best of the new. Who wants to remind mired in the drudgery of the current world and all it’s politics?

Escape and set yourself free.
